Processing of nearly any metal (e.g. stainless steel, nitinol, copper, gold, etc.) can be achieved utilizing laser wavelengths from 266nm (UV) up to 1064nm (IR) and/or conventional machining technologies. Our laser metal cutter technology is able to laser cut sheets as thick as 0.04″. Potomac utilizes high accuracy stages and can achieve very tight tolerances over large areas of cutting. Depending upon the thickness of the sheet or foil, laser cut features can be as small as 20µm.
